Even Miracles Take A Little Time: 20 months!

How is my little boy a mere 4 months away from being TWO!? I seriously cannot believe it. Time is flying and he's growing up so fast. I absolutely love this age of learning and discovery but am totally going to miss it all.

Here's what Andrew has been up to...

weighs about 31.5 lbs and just shy of 35 in (he seems to be thinning out a bit)
size 5 diapers during the day; size 6 at night
still mostly 18-24 month pants but some are really getting short and some 2T pants; all 2T shirts and jammies
size 6 shoe
drinks about 20-24 oz of milk a day
hasn't changed much about his eating habits... gets picky over certain things but seems to eventually eat what you put on his tray but it may take him awhile
new favorite foods include: dipping veggies in blue cheese dressing (daddy cringes! lol), and raisins. Other favorites haven't changed.
getting better at using a spoon or spork. I usually have to put the food on the utensil then he'll put it in his mouth. He really wants to use our "adult" spoons/forks but once he bit down on one and started screaming, so I'm afraid he'll hurt himself again!
nap is the same - goes down about 12 and will sleep til 3 (on average) Currently it's past 3:30 and he's still sleeping :) (I'm lucky!!)
bedtime remains the same as well - down at 7ish (talks himself to sleep) and up by 6 on the weekdays and usually 6:30 on the weekends but has been stretching a few minutes later..
loves his pacifier!! He is so good about giving it up after naps and bedtime, but is definitely the first thing he wants when I ask him if he's ready for night-night!
has 14 teeth - yep 2 more finally popped through. They are barely through but they are there. It's been a LONG 3 weeks waiting for those to come in!
HUGE NEWS!!! Andrew has made some progress in his speech! He now says: mama, dada, dog, Lucy (oo-ee), ba-ba (what we call his pacifier), stuck, stick (which also sounds like stuck), hot (ah-ta), cold (co-co) and water (wa). He also said outside (ow-sa) once. I know it's not much but SOOO much more than he was saying. We also think he says more but these are the words he'll repeat for us. My favorite is hot (ah-ta). He is so darn cute when he says that! :) :) :)
runs everywhere and usually trips and falls multiple times a day. He has many bumps and bruises to show for that.
learned how to do a somersault and will forward roll all over the room LOL
back into the toy throwing stage.. trying to deter that
obsessed with ceiling fans, heat registers/vents, and outlets. We have to repeat them a million times every day.
will get VERY angry if he can't have what he wants. What's funny is he will often get mad and run to where we keep the snacks and point at them while screaming/crying or point at the kitchen ceiling fan while scream/crying. No idea.
has really been climbing on furniture with ease... makes me nervous
loves to sit on the top edge of the couch and look outside
LOVES to be outside! Come on warm weather!
loves to close all the doors in our house.
we bought him a potty a few weeks ago since he has let us know a few times when he's gone poop. Only likes to play with the potty though and won't sit down.
loves chasing Lucy around and has lately tried sitting on her. Poor dog.
has started carrying toys around and refuses to let them go. We often have to bring random toys various places now.
loves wooden and plastic spoons. Actually regular old metal spoons as well.
still loves to spin in circles
climbs on daddy's back when he's laying down and pretends he's a horsey.
loves books, especially "the daddy book"
still adores Elmo!
will sometimes make silly faces at me to get me to laugh when I'm trying to scold him. Of course I can't help but laugh and he does it over and over again.
